Binding Services
We offer full-service binding. Binding is $.22 per linear inch. Send us the binding yardage (selvage to selvage) and we will create and attach the binding to the front and back of your quilt. Add the measurements of the top, bottom, and each side of the quilt together to find how many inches around your quilt is. See the measurements below to determine how fabric to send us.
0 to 150 inches 1/3 of a yard of fabric (12 inches)
151 to 200 inches 1/2 of a yard of fabric (18 inches)
201 to 350 inches 3/4 of a yard of fabric (27 inches)
351 to 500 inches 1 yard of fabric (36 inches)
There are many different ways to add binding to a quilt. Below is the process we use.
The fabric is cut into 2 1/2 inch strips. The strips are stitched together with seams on the diagonal. The long strip is folded in half and stitched to the back with mitered corners.
The quilt is turned over to the front. The binding is flipped to the front of the quilt and stitched down to the quilt.
